EveryoneBenefits From An Accessible Website and eLearning Content.
The purpose of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as amended in 1998 is to... "ensure... electronic and information technology allows... individuals with disabilities....access to and use of information and data that is comparable to... individuals [without] disabilities".
Creating content that is accessible to viewers with disabilities is not difficult, but it cannot happen automatically. Web developers and designers must be aware of the issues, and know how to employ the appropriate techniques.
